Job Summary
Sanitation personnel works to clean and maintain equipment and various working surfaces. Employees under this job classification are expected to closely adhere to all USDA SSOP regulations and K&M policies and cleaning procedures.
Essential Job Duties
- Follow USDA SSOP regulations and K&M policies and procedures to clean and maintain various working surfaces, including processing and dock areas.
- Clean and sanitize all equipment properly and safely as per standard operating procedures.
- Follow procedures for the use of chemical cleaners and power equipment to prevent damage to floors and fixtures.
- Mix water and detergents or acids in containers to prepare cleaning solutions, according to specifications.
- Disassemble various machines as needed.
- Follow USDA lock and tag-out procedures.

Work Environment & Exposures :
The position will require daily and frequent exposure to temperature-controlled cold rooms where safe storage of food is possible. Occasional exposure to outside working environments is possible. Noise levels fluctuate, but are consistent with standard food manufacturing production indoor production environment.
