VP of IT

Job Summary. The VP of IT works under the direction of the CFO. This executive-level role is responsible for collaborating and strategically aligning IT operations with company objectives, ensuring optimal performance and security of systems and networks, for present and future needs of the organization. The VP of IT provides leadership, guidance, and vision for the IT department to foster innovation, drive operational excellence, and support business growth. This position ensures IT policies and systems align with the organization’s Vision, Mission, and Values.

Vision: To establish K&M Tire as an industry leader in Information Technology by creating and maintaining a robust and scalable IT infrastructure that supports strategic goals, reduces organizational risk, empowers users, increases efficiency and enhances the company’s vision.

Job Duties & Responsibilities:

• Develop IT strategies and objectives which support organizational objectives specific to technological reliability, scalability, sustainability and security.
• Develop and maintain an engaged team, make decisions that support our values, enable infrastructure growth, and promote fiscal responsibility.
• Lead and oversee IT security strategies, including risk assessment, mitigation, and compliance with industry standards.
• Lead and mentor the IT department by providing innovative, cost-effective, and scalable solutions to evolving business challenges.
• Oversee the design, implementation, and maintenance of IT infrastructure, including hardware, software, networks, and data centers.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives to align technology with evolving business needs.
• Provide the IT Team with necessary training and development opportunities in areas of technical and leadership skills.
• Establish and audit IT policies, SOPs, and standards to ensure consistency and adherence to company Vision, Mission and Values.
• Manage third-party vendor relationships to ensure service levels are met, systems are scalable and collaborate with CFO to ensure maximum value is returned to the organization.
• Define, monitor, and evaluate key performance indicators (KPIs) that are critical to successful IT operations and projects.
• Set and communicate a vision and goals for the department all while monitoring the overall performance in reaching it.
• Resolve workplace conflicts by upholding company values and promoting a positive work environment.
• Collaborate with CFO, President, ELT and K&M Management to provide IT insights for strategic decision-making.
• Lead IT projects from conception to completion, ensuring they are delivered on time and within scope. Prioritize projects based on organizational needs and resources.
• Must support company goals.
• Anything else needed to help obtain the goals of K&M Tire.

• Advanced knowledge of IT systems, cybersecurity, cloud solutions, and ERP platforms.
• Strong understanding of data management and transfer protocols.
• Familiarity with Software development processes.
• Familiarity with business continuity planning and disaster recovery solutions.
• Knowledge and ability to use the full suite of Microsoft Office products (Excel, PowerPoint, etc.).

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Information Technology, related field or 8 years of experience in IT
• 8 years of relevant leadership experience
