Job Summary
The Warranty Supervisor works under the direction of the Operations Project Manager and is responsible for ensuring we make the customer the most important person in our business; responsible for ensuring all warranty adjustments, issued credits and scheduled vendor pickups are handled efficiently, accurately and in a timely manner.
Job duties and responsibilities
- Supervise, train, develop, coach employees handling warranty adjustments.
- Responsible for maintaining high levels of employee morale and motivation with team members.
- Responsible for managing and resolving conflict in the work environment by using the company values as a guide.
- Responsible for overseeing the thorough inspection of tires with detail and accuracy and complete claim forms.
- Follow up with vendors and ensure credits are issued accurately and in a timely manner.
- Ensure carriers are scheduled to pick up adjustment tires to numerous vendors in a timely manner.
- Ensure all bill of ladings are prepared accurately and in timely manner and stored in company database.
- Ensure all adjustment tires are accurately labeled with claim form number to ensure duplicate paperwork is available for each tire that is sent back to the vendor.
- Ensure damage stock tires are allocated immediately to prevent an oversell or shortage.
- Talk to vendors to verify correct information with authorization codes and warranty processes.
- Must ensure all adjustment policies are kept up to date with each vendor.
- Must be licensed and able to use forklift / clamp truck / picker.
- Must be able to communicate in a positive, courteous manner with all customers / employees.
- Contact vendors and schedule training.
- Responsible for managing and resolving conflict in the work environment by using the company values as a guide.
- Perform other duties as appropriate and assigned.
- Support company goals and uphold K&M values.
- Make the customer the #1 person in our business by providing quick, friendly and accurate service.
Job Requirements
- Must be able to lift and move passenger and truck tires weighing 75 lbs.
- Must be able to kick and load tires on a consistent basis as needed.
- Ability to learn tire knowledge.
- Ability to work in a multi-task environment.
- Ability to use MaddenCo efficiently.
- Ability to use Web Link & Intranet.
- Ability to plan, prioritize and organize a team to achieve a common strategy.
- Ability to communicate with employees written and verbally.
- Ability to work on a computer and use Word / Excel.
- Present a clean, neat, professional appearance/image/environment
- Keep the adjustment area clean and organized
Minimum Qualifications
High School Diploma or equivalent
3 years of Supervisory experience preferred
