Job Overview:
We are seeking a detail-oriented Food Runner to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the seamless delivery of food our guests. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is passionate about food and customer service.
Duties:
- Run food from the expo to the dining area, ensuring they are delivered promptly
- Maintain a clean and organized expo, adhering to all food safety and handling guidelines.
- Provide exceptional guest services, addressing any concerns or issues promptly and professionally.
- Collaborate with the kitchen staff to ensure timely and accurate food delivery.
- Maintain a positive and professional demeanor at all times, contributing to a welcoming and enjoyable dining experience.
- Stay knowledgeable about menu items, ingredients, and preparation methods, providing helpful recommendations to guests when necessary.
Experience:
- Prior experience in food service, preferably in a fast-paced environment.
- Familiarity with kitchen operations and food handling practices.
- Proven track record of excellent customer service skills.
- Ability to work well under pressure, multitasking and prioritizing tasks effectively.
- Experience with kitchen equipment and tools.
- Basic knowledge of culinary techniques and ingredients.
- Ability to lift and carry heavy trays or containers.
Skills:
- Experience with banquet and catering services.
- Proficiency with Toast POS and other point-of-sale systems.
- Knowledge of kitchen operations and food handling practices.
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Familiarity with food service and culinary techniques.
- Ability to handle food and maintain a clean and organized environment.
- Availability to work in a fast-paced environment and flexibility to accommodate changing priorities.
