What are the responsibilities and job description for the Host position at K-Pot Korean BBQ & Hot Pot?
Host/Host
Duties:
- Greet and welcome guests as they arrive at the restaurant/hotel
- Escort guests to their tables and provide menus
- Assist with seating arrangements to ensure efficient use of dining space
- Answer phone calls and take reservations
- Manage waitlist during peak hours
- Provide accurate wait time estimates to guests
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the host/host station
- Collaborate with servers and kitchen staff to ensure smooth flow of service
- Handle guest inquiries, complaints, and special requests with professionalism and empathy
- Assist with various tasks as needed to support the overall guest experience
-Clean menus after each guest use
-Stock up bears and ice cream
-Check all guest checks/receipts turned in by servers
-SMILE!!!
Qualifications:
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong guest service orientation
- Experience using POS systems (e.g., Toast POS) is a plus
- Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment
- Knowledge of phone etiquette and customer service principles
- Previous experience in a restaurant or hospitality setting is preferred
