JOB SUMMARY:
To ensure that product processed from the lasers meet the specifications of the customer and are prepared as needed for additional processes.
- REQUIRED COMPETENCIES, QUALIFICATIONS, AND BASIC SKILL LEVELS:
- PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- High School education or equivalent.
- Strong industrial math skills and attention to details.
- Ability to learn tasks, and follow directions, including use of measurement equipment.
- Good communication skills and the ability to work in a team environment.
- Fluent reading, writing, and speaking English.
- Successful completion of Pre-Employment physical.
- 2-3 years experience running a laser in a production environment a plus.
- Regular and predictable attendance required.
Class C Operator
- Operate and adjust stand-alone laser as needed to cut single or multiple pieces from sheet.
- Remove cut product from sheet steel and sort for processing or finished goods inventory.
- Review shop orders, blueprints, and inspection records to determine process requirements.
- Examine and measure product to verify conformance to specifications using measurement equipment as specified on inspection records.
- Comply with policies, processes and systems of the ISO quality management system.
- Support the commitment to a safe work environment as stated in the safety vision and the safety manual.
- Perform duties listed above under class C operator
- Load existing and adjust stand alone laser programs.
- Troubleshoot stand alone lasers.
