Job Summary FedEx Contractor seeking a reliable and motivated Delivery Driver and Lead driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting goods to various locations while ensuring timely and safe delivery. This role requires a strong attention to detail, excellent driving skills, and the ability to handle loading and unloading of products efficiently. **Drug is screen required. Must be at least 21 years old.
Responsibilities
- Safely operate delivery vehicles, including box trucks and vans, ensuring compliance with all traffic laws and regulations.
- Load and unload products using appropriate equipment such as pallet jacks.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure it is in safe operating condition.
- Navigate routes effectively to ensure timely deliveries while maintaining a high level of customer service.
- Handle paperwork related to deliveries, including invoices and delivery confirmations. Interact with customers and co-workers in a professional manner.
- Report any vehicle issues or accidents immediately to management.
- Assist in warehouse operations as needed, including inventory management and organization of goods.
Experience
- Previous experience as a Delivery Driver or in a similar role is preferred but not required.
- Familiarity with manual transmission vehicles is a plus.
- Experience with commercial driving or moving services is advantageous.
- Ability to operate warehouse equipment safely and efficiently.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail are essential for managing deliveries effectively.
