Opportunity:

K Sidrane is currently seeking a Pre-Press Graphic Artist for our Farmingdale, NY facility. The position will require a strong knowledge of the Adobe Suite of products (InDesign, Illustrator, and Photoshop). You will need to check customer files for completeness and pre-flight documents according to printing standards and make necessary adjustments to all types of files to prepare them for print and digital reproduction. Must be able to identify and communicate if there are missing files/layers to what the customer has supplied to the proper channels. The position will require you to work with customers while preparing their files for press to ensure they are satisfactory. Then you must work with various programs to ensure files are press ready and electronically transfer files to the digital HP presses. Will need to communicate with press operators and customer service when required.

Skills needed to Succeed:

· Strong knowledge and experience working in Adobe Illustrator, InDesgin, Photoshop, and FTP applications

· Esko experience is preferred

· Ability to perform basic arithmetic including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division

• working knowledge of basic print specifications including margins, bleeds, etc. is preferred

· Must be a self-starter who is dependable

· Ability to work overtime is preferred

· Prepress production experience is preferred

· Knowledge of color separation

· Must be organized and be able to meet project deadlines

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $20.00 - $35.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
