Sales Business Development Representative
Location: Columbus, OH
Shift: Standard business hours with travel as needed
Compensation: $75,000 - $85,000 base salary bonus

Your Role
- Identify and develop new business opportunities within the underground utility sector
- Build and maintain strong relationships with contractors, municipalities, and utility companies
- Conduct sales presentations, site visits, and assessments to understand client needs
- Negotiate contracts, pricing, and service terms with customers
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure seamless service delivery
- Stay informed on industry trends, regulations, and competitors
- Review project plans and specifications to determine the scope of work
- Conduct site visits and inspections to gather necessary data for estimating
- Prepare detailed cost estimates for materials, labor, equipment, and subcontractor services
- Maintain accurate records of sales activities, customer interactions, and forecasts in CRM software
- Meet and exceed sales targets and performance metrics
Who You Are
- 3 years of outside sales or business development experience, preferably in underground utilities, construction, or related industries
- Strong understanding of underground utility services, including hydro excavation, directional drilling, and pipeline maintenance
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to build rapport and negotiate deals
- Self-motivated and able to work independently while managing a sales pipeline effectively
- Proficient in CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite
- Willingness to travel within the assigned territory
Work Environment
- Primarily field-based with office work as needed
- Frequent travel within the assigned territory
- Interaction with clients in both indoor and outdoor settings
