The Global Finance Controller will oversee technical accounting, tax compliance, internal controls, global external audit processes, transfer pricing, M&A integration, and the creation and management of shared service centers in APAC and LATAM. Additionally, this role will own the month-end, quarter-end, and year-end financial close processes, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting.
The ideal candidate will have extensive experience operating in a Private Equity (PE) environment, with a strong understanding of financial reporting, performance metrics, and value creation strategies that align with PE-backed business models. The role requires a results-driven finance leader who can support strategic initiatives, optimize financial processes, and drive operational efficiencies in a fast-paced, high-growth setting.
Responsibilities
- Financial Close & Reporting: Lead and manage the month-end, quarter-end, and year-end financial closing processes, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with UK & US GAAP/IFRS.
- Technical Accounting: Ensure compliance with UK & US GAAP/IFRS and provide technical guidance on complex accounting issues.
- Tax Compliance & Strategy: Oversee global tax planning, compliance, and reporting, ensuring adherence to international tax laws and regulations.
- Internal Controls: Develop and implement robust internal controls to mitigate risks and ensure financial integrity across all regions.
- Global External Audit: Lead the annual external audit process, coordinating with auditors and internal teams to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting. Preparation of Group consolidation under UK GAAP. Experience on multicurrency consolidation and acquisition accounting. Preparation of group consolidated financial statements, notes and disclosures. Experience on dealing with Audit Committee reports.
- Transfer Pricing: Oversee and optimize global transfer pricing policies, ensuring compliance with international regulations and tax efficiency. Global transfer pricing recharges preparation.
- M&A Integration: Lead financial due diligence and integration of newly acquired businesses, ensuring alignment with company financial policies, reporting structures, and compliance frameworks.
- Shared Service Centers: Establish, manage, and optimize shared service centers in APAC and LATAM, centralizing financial operations and driving efficiency.
- Private Equity Reporting & Metrics: Ensure accurate financial reporting, including key PE performance indicators (EBITDA, cash flow, leverage, working capital management) and support strategic initiatives to maximize shareholder value.
- Process Optimization: Continuously improve financial processes, automation, and reporting frameworks to enhance operational effectiveness.
- Collaboration & Leadership: Work closely with regional finance teams, legal, and other departments to drive financial compliance and operational efficiency.
- M&A activity: M&A pipeline, daily interaction with brokers, deal origination, deal valuation and execution.
Skills & Experience
- CPA, ACA, ACCA, or equivalent financial certification.
- 10 years of experience in financial control, accounting, or audit, preferably within a multinational environment.
- Strong knowledge of IFRS, US & UK GAAP, and international tax regulations.
- Proven experience managing global financial close processes (month-end, quarter-end, year-end).
- Experience managing global audits and working with Big Four audit firms.
- Expertise in transfer pricing policies and compliance.
- Proven track record in implementing internal controls and risk management strategies.
- Experience in M&A financial due diligence and post-merger integration.
- Experience in establishing and managing shared service centers.
- Experience working in a Private Equity (PE) environment, with a strong understanding of PE-backed financial structures, reporting requirements, and value creation strategies.
- Strong leadership and stakeholder management skills.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication abilities.
Salary: 150-250K USD Bonus
