Summary :

The Senior Applications Engineer is a senior role within the Enterprise Applications Group that is critical in the support of our client’s application portfolio. This position requires proficiency in all aspects of workstation operating systems deployment, application configuration, integration, implementation, and support. The candidate should be self-driven, self-sufficient, and will work closely with the Enterprise Applications team and client contacts to provide high-quality operational and project support.

Key Responsibilities :

• Support clients’ existing core and business applications, including configuration, patching and updates.
• Resolve application performance issues and complete root cause resolution.
• Research new and alternative technologies and make recommendations for upgrades or changes.
• Gather client requirements for configuration, customization and integration and deliver these requirements to the client’s satisfaction.
• Design, test and implement installation processes for upgrades and new applications.
• Provide clear and early communication, ensuring that all relevant parties are kept informed of progress, issues, and difficulties.
• Document standard resolutions so that common issues can be resolved without requiring escalation.
• Train other staff members as needed.
• Work with network team to provide support, guidance and monitoring of infrastructure and equipment related to enterprise applications.
• Participate in thorough impact analysis of all assigned application and infrastructure activities and understand the impact of work on systems and the business.
• Ensure applications follow security best practices using established standards such as Center for Internet Security.
• All other duties as assigned.
