We are seeking an experienced Project Manager with a strong background in core banking implementation, preferably with Temenos or similar core banking solutions. The ideal candidate will have extensive project management experience in banking technology, focusing on end-to-end implementation of core banking systems, from planning and execution to successful delivery. This role demands exceptional leadership, communication, and technical skills to drive projects that align with strategic objectives, ensuring quality and efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
Project Planning and Execution: Lead the planning, scheduling, and execution of core banking implementation projects, ensuring they meet client requirements, timelines, and budget constraints.
Stakeholder Management: Collaborate closely with clients, vendors, and internal teams to define project scope, objectives, and deliverables. Ensure all stakeholders are informed and aligned on project progress.
Resource Allocation and Management: Oversee resource planning, including identifying and assigning necessary team members and technology resources for successful project execution.
Risk and Issue Management: Proactively identify project risks and develop strategies to mitigate them. Resolve issues promptly to minimize project impact.
Quality Assurance: Maintain high standards in project deliverables by performing regular quality checks and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
Budget Control: Monitor project costs and manage budgets effectively, ensuring optimal resource utilization without compromising quality.
Status Reporting: Prepare and present regular project status reports to senior management, highlighting project milestones, progress, risks, and any corrective actions taken.
Post-Implementation Review: Conduct post-implementation analysis to identify success factors and areas for improvement. Capture lessons learned for future projects.
Qualifications
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field. A Master’s degree is a plus.
Experience: Minimum 8 years of experience in project management within the banking or financial services sector, with at least 5 years managing core banking implementation projects.
Technical Skills: Strong knowledge of core banking systems such as Temenos, Flexcube, or Finacle, and experience with core banking implementation cycles.
Project Management Skills: Proven experience with project management methodologies (e.g., Agile, Waterfall) and tools (e.g., MS Project, JIRA, or similar).
Certifications: PMP, PRINCE2, or Agile certification is preferred.
