Key Responsibilities
- Linux System Administration: Manage, maintain, and troubleshoot Linux-based servers (e.g., RHEL, Ubuntu, CentOS), ensuring security, stability, and performance.
- Windows OS Engineering: Design, deploy, and manage Windows servers, handling Active Directory, patching, and other key functions.
- SAN Storage Management: Implement, manage, and maintain SAN storage systems, ensuring optimal performance and capacity.
- VxRail/HCI Management: Deploy, configure, and maintain VxRail or similar HCI infrastructure, ensuring seamless integration with the existing IT infrastructure and optimal performance.
- Veeam Backup Management: Oversee Veeam Backup and Replication across Linux, Windows, SAN, and HCI environments.
- On-Call Support: Provide 24/7 on-call support for critical infrastructure incidents, ensuring timely resolution of outages or performance issues.
- Automation: Develop automation scripts using shell scripting, PowerShell, and tools like Ansible to streamline operational tasks.
- Security and Compliance: Ensure all systems comply with security policies and best practices, including compliance with industry standards.
- Extra Hours: Be available to work extra hours as needed to meet project deadlines or handle critical infrastructure incidents.
- Travel: If the role is based in Qatar, you may be required to travel to client sites as necessary.
- 5 years of experience in Linux, Windows system administration, SAN storage, and VxRail or similar HCI solutions.
- Expertise with Veeam Backup and SAN/HCI storage systems.
- Proficiency in automation tools (Ansible, Puppet) and scripting languages (Shell, PowerShell).
- Experience providing on-call support.
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
- Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Certifications in Linux (RHCE, LPIC), Windows (MCSE, MCSA), and SAN/HCI technologies preferred.
