K9 Basics is searching for a highly motivated individual with a strong work ethic to join our expanding training staff. Our company has been established for 20 years. We have a 24-acre facility, five training fields, and 80 boarding kennels. We have an excellent reputation as one of the largest dog training businesses in the Delaware Valley. Prior dog training experience is required. At K9 Basics Dog Training, trainers will be taught how to deal with a wide variety of temperaments and behaviors. We train all different ages and breeds. Our programs include training in private lessons, group settings, a Board and Train program, a Day Training program, home lessons, and service dog training for combat veterans with PTSD/TBI.

Responsibilities and Duties
This position involves working as a team member in all-weather conditions. It’s a fast paced environment that does require minimal lifting. Must be able to take direction from others, self-motivated, team player. Trainers lead group classes through commands for their dogs, work at a fast pace while still maintaining proficiency, remain aware of dog body language, and have the ability to problem solve. Trainers may also assist in training evaluations, customer service, nail trimming, bathing, doggy daycare processes, walking dogs, and feeding dogs.
Qualifications and Skills
Prior dog handling experience is preferred.
Prior training experience is preferred.
Reliable transportation is required.
Must be able to take direction from others, self-motivated, team player.
