Job Overview
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Dog Trainer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in animal care and training, with the ability to work effectively with dogs of all breeds and temperaments. This role is essential in helping pet owners develop a better relationship with their dogs through effective training techniques and positive reinforcement.

Duties

• Conduct individual and group training sessions for dogs, focusing on obedience, behavior modification, and socialization.
• Develop customized training plans based on the specific needs of each dog and their owner.
• Utilize positive reinforcement techniques to encourage desired behaviors in dogs.
• Monitor and assess the progress of each dog throughout the training process, adjusting methods as necessary.
• Provide guidance to pet owners on best practices for maintaining training at home.
• Maintain a safe and clean training environment for both dogs and their handlers.
• Collaborate with other staff members to ensure comprehensive care for all animals in the facility.
• Assist with kennel duties as needed, including heavy lifting and animal restraint.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in dog training or related fields such as veterinary care, animal handling, or animal care.
• Strong skills in dog handling, including knowledge of various breeds and their behavioral traits.
• Familiarity with animal restraint techniques and safety protocols.
• Experience in pet grooming is a plus but not required.
• Ability to perform heavy lifting when handling large dogs or equipment.
• Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with pet owners and team members.
• A genuine love for animals and a commitment to their well-being.
