Compensation : $98,000 - $110,000 annually (depending on experience)

Essential Functions :

• Develop and Implement Departmental Goals & Standards : Establish and implement departmental goals, plans, and standards that align with the clinical, administrative, legal, and ethical requirements / objectives of the organization.
• Direct and Evaluate Operations : Oversee the daily operations of the department, including patient care delivery, information technologies, service level determination, and complaint management. Ensure the achievement of performance and quality control objectives.
• Staffing Management : Plan and monitor staffing activities, including recruitment, orientation, performance evaluations, disciplinary actions, and continuing education programs to maintain a high standard of staff competency.
• Budget Management : Prepare, monitor, and evaluate the departmental budget, ensuring that the department operates within allocated funding while maintaining operational efficiency.
• Coordinate Internal / External Audits : Oversee and direct internal and external audits to ensure compliance with regulations and best practices.
• Foster Professional Growth : Create and cultivate an environment that promotes professional development and growth for all laboratory staff.
• Integrate Evidence-Based Practices : Apply and incorporate evidence-based practices into laboratory operations and clinical protocols to ensure high-quality care and compliance with the latest industry standards.
• Focus on Continuum of Care : Ensure that the laboratory department remains focused on its essential role in the overall patient care continuum.
