Job Title : Certified Medical Assistant

Introduction :

We are seeking a Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) to join our team. As a CMA, you will play a vital role in providing support to healthcare professionals, ensuring the smooth operation of medical facilities, and delivering high-quality patient care. We are looking for a dedicated individual with strong interpersonal skills, attention to detail, and a passion for helping others.

Responsibilities : 1. Patient Care :

  • Assist healthcare providers in performing various medical procedures and examinations.
  • Obtain and record patient vital signs, height, weight, and medical history accurately.
  • Prepare patients for examinations and procedures, ensuring their comfort and well-being.
  • Administer medications and treatments as directed by healthcare providers.
  • Educate patients about their medical conditions, treatments, and preventive measures.

2. Administrative Duties :

  • Greet patients, schedule appointments, and manage patient flow within the medical facility.
  • Maintain electronic health records (EHR) accurately and confidentially.
  • Handle patient inquiries, phone calls, and correspondence professionally and efficiently.
  • Coordinate referrals to specialists and other healthcare facilities as needed.
  • Manage medical supplies and equipment inventory, ensuring availability and proper functioning.
  • 3. Clinical Support :

  • Assist with minor surgical procedures and wound care.
  • Perform routine laboratory tests and collect specimens for analysis.
  • Prepare and sterilize medical instruments and equipment.
  • Perform electrocardiograms (EKGs) and other diagnostic tests as required.
  • Follow infection control protocols and maintain a clean and safe environment.
  • 4. Team Collaboration :

  • Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to deliver comprehensive patient care.
  • Communicate effectively with colleagues to ensure continuity of care and adherence to treatment plans.
  • Participate in staff meetings, training sessions, and quality improvement initiatives.
  • Requirements :

  • Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) credential from an accredited institution.
  • High school diploma or equivalent; completion of a medical assisting program preferred.
  • Current CPR certification.
  • Proficiency in medical terminology, basic pharmacology, and clinical procedures.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment while maintaining professionalism and empathy.
  • Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and patient needs.
  • Compliance with HIPAA regulations and ethical standards of healthcare practice.
