The Chief Supervisor, reporting to the Pre-Analytic Operations Assistant Director and Laboratory Operations Director, oversees the Phlebotomy Department's technical, administrative, financial, quality, and personnel management functions. They are ultimately responsible for the department's performance.
Responsibilities :
Administration / Leadership : Ensures departmental compliance, coordinates operations with other departments, supports strategic initiatives, and sets goals for Phlebotomy. Attends management meetings and takes accountability for department performance.
Operational Management : Stays updated on industry advancements, ensures efficient phlebotomy operations, and provides daily guidance and training to staff.
Quality : Develops a Quality Assurance program, seeks process improvements, and fosters a teamwork-oriented environment.
Personnel Management : Manages supervisors, oversees staff performance, ensures proper staffing, and models leadership skills.
Financial Performance : Prepares budgets, reviews expenses, and is fiscally responsible for the department.
Qualifications :
Bachelor s degree required, Master s preferred. Requires 3-5 years of relevant experience, with at least 2 years in a managerial role (7 years and 5 years preferred) or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
