Job Overview
A route sales representative is responsible for selling and delivering products to a designated set of customers along a predetermined route, building strong relationships with store managers, ensuring proper product placement and stock levels, and actively promoting sales within their territory by utilizing effective sales techniques, all while maintaining accurate delivery and sales records
Duties
- Drive along assigned routes to deliver products to customers in a timely manner.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients through exceptional customer service.
- Create visually appealing product displays on store shelves and implement promotional strategies to increase sales.
- Communicate effectively with customers regarding product pricing, promotions, and availability.
- Manage inventory levels on the route and ensure accurate product delivery.
- Maintain organized records of sales activities and customer interactions.
Skills
- Strong organizational skills and ability to follow directions to manage daily routes and schedules efficiently.
- Proven sales skills with the ability to upsell products effectively.
- Excellent customer service abilities to foster positive relationships with clients.
- Experience in commercial driving is preferred; valid driver's license and clean driving record are required..
- Familiarity with route driving logistics and best practices.
This position requires early morning start times and the ability to follow directions. Compnay vehicle is provided
