Job Overview
We are seeking skilled and safety-conscious 1st and 2nd shift Stand up Forklift Operators to join our dynamic team in a fast-paced warehouse environment. The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating forklifts and other material handling equipment to efficiently manage the movement of goods within our distribution center. This role is crucial for maintaining inventory accuracy and ensuring smooth operations
Principal Duties & Responsibilities
- Operate forklifts, including cherry pickers and pallet jacks, to load, unload, and transport materials throughout the warehouse. (COLD ENVIRONMENT)
- Perform order picking and ensure accurate selection of items for shipment
- Maintain a clean and organized work area while adhering to safety protocols and OSHA regulations
- Assist in building pallets for shipment and preparing products for distribution
- Conduct routine inspections of equipment to ensure proper functioning and safety compliance
- Collaborate with team members to meet daily production goals and maintain workflow efficiency
Requirements
- Proficient in operating various types of forklifts, including order pickers and cherry pickers
- Strong understanding of warehouse operations, inventory management, and distribution processes
- Familiarity with OSHA standards related to forklift operation and warehouse safety
- Ability to lift heavy loads and perform physical tasks as required in a warehouse setting
- Excellent attention to detail with strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks effectively
- Team player with good communication skills to work collaboratively within a diverse workforce
