About KABOOM!

KABOOM! is the national nonprofit committed to ensuring that every kid, in every community, has an amazing place to play. Our mission is to end playspace inequity – the reality that playspaces are not available to every child, especially in communities of color. We unite with communities to build kid-designed playspaces that can spark joy and foster a sense of belonging for the kids who are often denied opportunities to thrive.

KABOOM! is looking for an experienced, highly motivated and driven major gifts fundraiser who can build meaningful partnerships with individual donors, family foundations, and other philanthropic foundations.

.

The Senior Director of Major Gifts is an experienced major gifts fundraising professional who is as motivated as much by the desire to identify transformative donors as they are by KABOOM!’s mission of addressing inequities that exist for kids in communities across the country. This position will play a vital role in securing new sustainable funding streams for KABOOM! by creating a major individual donor program, including private family foundations. This role will seek new strategic philanthropic investments and cultivate long-term institutional relationships primarily with individuals within our ‘25 in 5 Initiative’ markets. This is an exciting opportunity for a seasoned frontline fundraiser with an entrepreneurial spirit to help us grow support from individual donors and foundations.

The successful candidate will partner closely with the executive, programs, partnerships, and finance teams to advance smart fundraising strategies that target a new set of individual donor prospects. The Senior Director of Major Gifts is a hybrid position or a remote position for the right candidate.
