Kacey's Custom Adventures is a premier kayak rental and tour company in Crystal River, FL, offering unique and immersive experiences, including our Glow Kayak Tours. We are looking for energetic, outdoor-loving individuals to lead our nighttime guided tours. This is a great opportunity for nature enthusiasts, storytellers, and adventure-seekers who want to share their passion for wildlife, conservation, and paddling with our guests.
Job Responsibilities:
- Lead Night Tours – Guide groups safely through Crystal River at night in LED-lit kayaks, creating a memorable and engaging experience.
- Provide Safety Briefings – Clearly explain paddling techniques, safety protocols, and what to expect during the tour.
- Engage Guests – Share interesting facts about the local ecosystem, manatees and the area's natural beauty.
- Assist Guests – Help guests enter and exit kayaks, ensuring a comfortable and enjoyable experience.
- Capture Tour Moments – Take photos of the experience for our complimentary photo package.
- Maintain Equipment – Clean and organize kayaks, paddles, and safety gear after tours.
- Adapt to Conditions – Monitor weather and adjust tour routes when needed to prioritize safety.
- Promote Conservation – Educate guests on responsible wildlife interaction and “leave no trace” principles.
Compensation & Benefits:
- Pay: $70–$80 per tour,
Schedule:
Night shifts only (typically between 4:30 PM - 10:00 PM, depending on the season).
Must be available weekends and holidays.
Requirements:
✅ Passion for outdoor adventures, wildlife, and conservation.
✅ Comfortable working in low-light/nighttime conditions on the water.
✅ Strong public speaking and customer service skills.
✅ Physically capable of lifting 50 lbs and assisting guests in and out of kayaks.
✅ Punctual, reliable, and safety-conscious.
✅ Previous guiding, kayaking, or customer service experience is a plus but not required.
✅ Must have reliable transportation to Crystal River, FL.
