Overview
Kadant Johnson is seeking a results-driven, customer focused, hands-on colleague to join our team as a Regional Sales Manager serving the Midwest region. This position will focus on general industries outside of pulp and paper, including corrugated packaging, steel, and food processing, among others. The location for this position is ideally located in Michigan, Indiana, or Ohio.
Responsibilities
The Regional Sales Manager is responsible for developing and executing sales strategies to win new business and achieve revenue targets. The ideal candidate will perform all duties in successfully establishing relationships with industrial customers and prospects, identifying needs and opportunities within these customers’ organizations, and matching Kadant Johnson’s product and service offerings with those needs. Essential functions of this role include managing account records, forecasting, reporting, and opportunity management.
Qualifications
The preferred candidate will have a bachelor’s degree in business administration, sales, engineering, or a related field and a minimum of five years of experience in industrial sales with a track record of achieving sales targets. He/She must be able to work and communicate effectively with people, be articulate, and have strong computer skills including the use of Office 365 and Salesforce. The candidate must also be willing and able to travel up to 50% of the time.
The successful candidate will have a strong internal drive for achievement, be tenacious, and capable of adjusting quickly to changing priorities. He/She will seek out and seize opportunities, go beyond the normal call-of-duty, find ways to surmount barriers, be resourceful, and show bias for action (can-do and do-it-now attitude).
This position will report through the Director of Industrial Sales.
