Kadant Johnson is seeking a growth-oriented, goal driven, multi-functional individual as a Piping Designer. The designer is responsible for completing detailed design drawings for steam condensate handling equipment and piping systems.
Responsibilities
- Complete detailed design drawings for steam and condensate equipment and piping systems
- Provide on-site piping installation support
- Perform stress analysis calculation of piping systems
- Provide startup assistance of mechanical components
- Assist Engineering group as requested
- Participate in customer meetings, making presentations, and supporting product line equipment
- Travel to customer sites to obtain product information, field measurements, start-up assistance, or problem resolution
- Assist in assembly check-out and start up
Qualifications
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in the design of steam and condensate equipment or industrial piping systems
- Fluency in AutoCAD and SolidWorks for creating and editing is required
- Knowledge and understanding of pipe support basics
- Must be able to work in high temperature environments
- An estimated 25% travel required
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills are essential
