Kadima Health and Nursing at Cheswick seeking PRN Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to join our in-house rehab team.

The COTA will work under the supervision of a licensed Occupational Therapist to provide high-quality patient care. The ideal candidate will be passionate about helping patients achieve their rehabilitation goals and improve their daily living skills.
Duties
- Assist patients in performing activities of daily living (ADLs) to enhance their independence and quality of life.
- Implement treatment plans developed by the Occupational Therapist, ensuring adherence to established protocols.
- Monitor patient progress and report any changes or concerns to the supervising Occupational Therapist.
- Provide support for inpatient therapy sessions, including assisting with mobility and therapeutic exercises.
- Maintain accurate documentation of patient care activities and progress notes in accordance with facility policies.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes and ensure comprehensive care.
- Educate patients and their families on treatment plans, exercises, and strategies for improving functional abilities.
- Stay current with medical terminology, anatomy knowledge, and best practices in occupational therapy.

- Strong foundation in patient care techniques and understanding of ADLs.
- Proficiency in medical terminology and anatomy knowledge is essential for effective communication within the healthcare team.
- Excellent interpersonal skills to build rapport with patients and collaborate effectively with healthcare professionals.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail for accurate documentation and patient management.
· Current License as Occupational Therapy Assistant in the State of PA. Must be in good standing.
