Kaelins Market is a family owned and operated grocery store in El Cajon, CA. We are a small business that strives to provide our customers with the best products and the best experience possible.
We are looking for a dynamic, friendly, and customer-oriented person to join our team as a Grocery Associate. In this role, you will be responsible for assisting customers in our grocery store and other retail departments by greeting, answering questions, helping customers find products and processing payments.
Job Duties:
- Greet customers when they enter and exit the store.
- Answer customer questions about products and store policies.
- Ensure drawer is accurate and accounted for
- Process cash and credit card payments for sales transactions.
- Maintain cleanliness of the cashier area including keeping it clean by sweeping, mopping, emptying trash etc (This includes handling money) . Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- BILINGUAL ENGLISH & SPANISH
- HAVE 2 YEARS GROCERY CASHIERING EXPERIENCE
- Must be able to work in a grocery environment (restaurant or grocery) with a high level of cleanliness and organization.
- Ability to understand and follow oral and written instructions.
- Ability to work as part of a team in a dynamic environment.
- Must be able to stand for extended periods of time.
- Ability to see clearly enough to read written instructions and know how big an object is on the opposite side of your face.
- Ability to hear what is going on around you enough to understand what people are saying.
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $16.50 - $19.00 per hour
