Kaeppel Consulting is seeking a talented and driven Manager with expertise in information technology infrastructure and / or information security / cybersecurity to join the Assurance & Advisory Services (A&A) team in one of our client locations - Chicago, IL; Birmingham, AL, Dallas, TX, Alpharetta, GA, Jacksonville, FL.. The A&A team plays a vital role in supporting client’s strategic goals, including fostering leadership development and providing continuous assurance to senior management and the board regarding the effectiveness of governance, risk management, and controls. In this role, you will manage and oversee multiple IT infrastructure and cybersecurity-related engagements, advisory projects, and issue resolution activities. Your work will focus on ensuring that projects are executed according to risk-based strategies, company policies, and best practices, while contributing to broader departmental initiatives. You will also have the opportunity to manage and mentor staff members, fostering their professional growth. Key Responsibilities : Lead multiple IT infrastructure and cybersecurity engagements, ensuring they are risk-focused, well-documented, and comply with A&A policies and guidelines. Champion the integration of data analytics into engagements to enhance insights and improve decision-making. Provide ongoing feedback and coaching to team members, overseeing their progress and ensuring quality in audit work. Draft and deliver clear, concise reports and memos, including issue identification, root cause analysis, and actionable recommendations. Track remediation efforts for identified control issues, assessing the effectiveness of corrective actions through follow-up reviews. Lead by example, fostering an inclusive and supportive environment where team members feel valued and motivated to excel. Recognize employee achievements and provide timely feedback for development. Actively contribute to your personal and professional growth by pursuing relevant industry certifications and participating in industry events and associations. Build strong relationships with business partners across the organization, ensuring effective collaboration and understanding of business, industry, and regulatory risks. Qualifications : Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Information Systems, Data Analysis, Business Administration, or a related field. Minimum of 6 years of experience in executing IT infrastructure or cybersecurity audit engagements, preferably within internal audit or public accounting. Relevant certifications (or in progress) such as CPA, CIA, CISA, CICA, CFE, CISSP, PMP, or other related credentials. A strong sense of curiosity with the ability to dive deep into understanding business processes, technologies, risks, and opportunities to drive improvements aligned with client’s strategic goals. Demonstrated ability to apply internal audit concepts and effectively train and mentor others. Strong organizational, project management, and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic, fast-paced environment. Skilled in gathering, analyzing, and presenting facts, patterns, and trends from data, as well as preparing clear, detailed reports. Familiarity with control frameworks (e.g., COSO), financial and operational processes, risk management practices, IT general controls, and regulatory requirements. Proficiency in data analytics tools such as Tableau, Alteryx, IDEA, ACL / Galvanize, Power BI, and others, along with productivity tools like Microsoft Office. Experience in financial services and with industry-specific platforms like Workday, Guidewire, and Workiva is a plus. Prior experience in due diligence, mergers, acquisitions, or integration activities is desirable. Ability to travel up to 20% and work effectively in a hybrid or remote work environment, as needed. Additional Information : This position is eligible for a hybrid work schedule, requiring occasional travel to one of the following client's offices : Chicago, IL; Dallas, TX; Birmingham, AL; Alpharetta, GA; or Jacksonville, FL.
