Salary: $57,500-$72,000 base salary plus 10% MICP
Hours: Monday to Friday 6:30 to 4:30 with some weekend on-call
Position Summary
This position is accountable for the achievement of budgeted revenues, miles, as well as revenue quality, operational efficiency and is the leader of the customer experience for a specific customer(s). This position maintains the overall customer experience to KAG: including all areas of contract management. This position also provides input to Head Office, Operations Vice President and Directors on the development of operational efficiencies; claims process management, and customer reporting.
Essential Functions
- Achieve and maintain planned revenue and new business volumes on a North American basis for national assigned accounts.
- Monitor and report to management operational/service gains and short falls, service issues or concerns, special customer requests, utilizing the company CRM application, or other communication processes specific to the customer.
- Collaborate with the Director of Operations and Terminal Managers in monitoring and maximizing equipment and driver utilization levels and develop and apply innovative methods in pursuing efficiency opportunities that support maximization of profitable equipment and driver utilization.
- Coordinate with geographically specific Business Development Managers on satellite locations multi location key strategic accounts, to insure proper account management and customer care is customized for specific customer plant locations, as applicable.
- Work with terminal and regional management in concert with the operational Vice Presidents in the preparation of revenue, mile growth objectives included in the Annual Plan and Quarterly Forecasts.
- Monitor competitive activity and other external factors such as government policy, local market trends, etc. which can impact our business. Where appropriate, recommend how KAG should respond to potential problems and opportunities while maintaining a high standard of ethics and integrity in the conduct of business.
