Job Summary
This position is responsible for the overall operation of the terminal shop, including overseeing the repair and maintenance of all equipment for safe operation, managing vendor relationships, and updating work orders.
Key Responsibilities
- Utilize and update the maintenance system
- Manage vendor relationships
- Oversee all shop operations
- Interview and hire mechanics
- Discipline, complete performance reviews and establish corrective actions
- Inspect equipment for potential repairs and proper operation
- Troubleshoot and identify solutions to improperly operating equipment
- Accurately complete all necessary paperwork for maintenance and repairs
- Assist in HM 183 inspections
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 5 years of mechanical experience
- ASE (Automotive Service Excellence) Certification
- Certified Welder designation
- Ability to push, pull, drag, and lift items up to 50 pounds, and occasionally work at shoulder level with equipment weighing up to 25 pounds
