Hours : Monday to Friday 8am to 5pm
Pay : $77,300 to 86,300
Position Summary
This position is accountable for the operation, personnel management, and the service to customers within a specified geographic region.
Essential Functions
- Promote and develop safe work behaviors in line with the company's safety programs and objectives
- Provide coaching on safety protocols and video telematics to improve driver safety and fleet operations
- Monitor hours of service for drivers; maintain compliance with all company and government regulations and policies
- Investigate safety incidents and accidents, implementing corrective actions to prevent recurrence
- Supervise performance of drivers to achieve incident free deliveries of every load
- Lead, manage, evaluate, and develop staff personnel
- Supervise and directly manage the load planning and dispatching of drivers to ensure timely, safe, and efficient deliveries
- Forecast terminal performance; evaluate performance and take corrective action to meet expense and financial forecast
- Communicate with customers, suppliers, and other stakeholders to ensure smooth operations and address any concerns
- Engage local customers regularly to drive growth and enhance relationships
- Ensure maximum asset utilization
- Be available on-call to address urgent matters and provide support outside of regular working hours
- Demonstrate flexibility with work hours to accommodate the dynamic nature of terminal operations
- Other duties as assigned
