Description
The Solution Administrators role is to ensure that the performance obligations of outsourced computing systems are met. This includes gathering and analyzing data in support of systems management, maintenance, and performance. The Solution Administrator is also responsible for generating and compiling reports based on their findings, complete with probable causes and possible solutions to systems issues. This individual will apply proven communication, analytical and problem-solving skills to help identify, communicate, and resolve malfunctions and make the appropriate recommendations in order to maximize the benefit of IT systems investments.
Responsibilities
- Support project managers, systems administrators, and end users to define systems goals, and identify and resolve systems issues. 20%
- Identify and establish scope and parameters of systems analysis in order to define outcome criteria and measure-taking actions.
- Develop and document research, data retrieval, and data analysis methodologies for use by other personnel.
- Develop strategies for improving the effectiveness and efficiency of existing systems or for further leveraging these systems. 10%
- Perform Gap Analysis of as is vs to be and determine differences and recommendations
- Assist database administrators, system administrators in the deployment and performance analysis of new systems and enhancements to existing systems.
- Conduct research software products to justify recommendations and to support purchasing efforts.
- Coordinate and perform in-depth tests, including end-user reviews, for modified and new systems.
- Analyze day-to-day functions and processes of software and database resources to ensure they are performing within predetermined guidelines, limits, and specifications. 15%
- Identify and resolve operating system issues in order to maintain services, enhance capabilities, and prevent system outages. 15%
- Prepare and deliver reports, recommendations, or alternatives that address existing and potential trouble areas in operating systems across the organization.
