JOB TITLE: Industrial Maintenance Supervisor
JOB PURPOSE AND SUMMARY
Supervise the Maintenance Team ensuring a high level of employee productivity
while supervising department resources within budget limitations and effectively
supporting an efficient production operation. Provide technical support to
Maintenance technicians and ensure technicians are properly trained in welding,
electrical wiring methods, calibrations of instrumentation, programmable logic controllers (PLC), variable frequency drives (VFD’s), electrical power transmissions,
mechanical power transmissions, interpreting electrical and mechanical blueprints and schematics, boiler/steam operations, water analysis and treatment, mechanical refrigeration equipment and controls, coders/labelers, effective trouble shooting of
equipment and safe work habits. Provide electrical and mechanical technical support
on existing and new equipment.
Support the review, understanding and compliance of all programs, policies and procedures contained in the Master Food Safety and Quality Management System. Understand my role in food safety and regulatory responsibilities as required by the SQF Food Safety Code and report any food safety concerns to initiate appropriate action.

1. 70% Perform hands on Maintenance duties and training maintenance technicians. Assist production with problem solving. Ensure all policies and procedures are being followed. Training and self-development through study, research and discussion to improve supervisorial skills and expand manufacturing expertise.
2. 15% Research and studying processes and identifying improvement opportunities. Improving production processes by eliminating causes of in-process material loss.
3. 5% Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned by
Management.
4. 10% Track Labor, Time Sheets, administration duties, injury
Reports.

POSITION DIMENSIONS AND QUALIFICATIONS
Internal Contacts:
All KCFI officers, Managers, Supervisors, and all other personnel
External Contacts:
Vendors, customers, contractors, auditors, and regulatory inspectors.
Education Level and Focus:
AA or AS Degree Preferred. Minimum of 10 years experience in a production facility experience.
Years and Type of Related Experience Required:
Two years in a Leadership capacity, with emphasis on team building practices in a food-processing environment.
Skill and Abilities:
Interpersonal and Communication:
Good written and verbal communications skills, ability to convey information
Clearly and concisely, ability to motivate people, strong training skills and a team
Builder. Able to follow through with instructions from Maintenance Manager and
Complete reports of results.
Technical and Analytical:
PC literate, including word processing and spreadsheets. Experience with
Mechanical, PLC and process problem solving.
Administrative and Operations:
Ability to prioritize time, delegate workloads, performs multiple tasks.
Physical Demands:
Ability to stand for long periods, walking, climbing stairs and ladders, alertness

Work Environment:
Food plant, high noise levels, cold, hot and humid conditions, wet floors, forklift
and pedestrian traffic, machinery with moving parts. This is a Safety Sensitive Position.
