JOB PURPOSE AND SUMMARY
Load trucks in proper manner to ensure a damage free load upon arrival. Unloads truck and stores materials in the proper place to ensure an organized warehouse.
Support the review, understanding and compliance of all programs, policies and procedures contained in the Master WOM, Food Safety and Quality Management System. Understand that I am responsible for reporting food safety issues observed so appropriate action can be taken.
Actively participate and support the 5S and MES initiatives.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

ITEM TIME JOB FUNCTIONS
1. 60% Load and unload trucks in a following procedure in Warehouse Operations Manual for Food Service Division. Follow FIFO procedures at all times. Inspects all incoming and outgoing equipment and product for quality. Pre-stage orders as directed by Shipping Clerk or Ship/Rec personnel.
2. 10% Receives incoming material and inspect for damage. Verify accuracy of packing list, quantity and lot number of incoming materials. Organize warehouse as needed.
3. 5% Performs warehouse maintenance ensuring products are stored in proper place and that different items are not mixed together. Performs daily equipment check to ensure equipment condition and report to management
4. 10% Warehouse maintenance: gathers pallets, stacks pallets neatly, stacks tomato bins, returns empty drums and bins to vendors, make-up short orders, make-up orders for donations. Takes inventory, tags products, collects tags and counts products
5. 5% Receives and verifies all UPS Fed Ex or other courier packages against packing slips. Check for damage or missing items. Deliver parcel packages to appropriate department as necessary.
6. 5% Performs housekeeping duties, including sweeping floors and docks, mops floors where products are spilled, straightens pallets and keeps the outside clean. Reports unsafe conditions to safety coordinator or Department Manager.
7. 5% Performs other duties and responsibilities as required or assigned by supervisor.

POSITION DIMENSIONS AND QUALIFICATIONS
Internal Contacts:
P/R control manager, production supervisors, QC personnel, safety coordinator, production personnel, and all S/R personnel
External Contacts:
Truck drivers, delivery personnel, equipment repair personnel
Education Level and Focus:
High School graduate or equivalent
Years and Type of Related Experience Required:
Two years forklift operations in a related environment, with an understanding of state weight laws and regulations
SKILLS AND ABILITIES
Interpersonal and Communication:
Must be able to communicate with other departments and truck drivers, follow verbal and written instructions and perform as a team player. Must be self motivated and perform work with minimal supervision
Technical and Analytical:
Must be able to operate slip-sheet attachment, calculator, forklift and use drum attachment. Knowledge of airbag inflation equipment
Administrative and Operations:
Knowledge of basic warehouse procedures and location assignments and the ability to put products in designated areas using forklift
Physical Demands:
Must have the ability to handle repetitive lifting and occasionally lift up to 70 lbs. Standing frequently, walking, sitting, bending
Work Environment:
Work in close quarters, occasional work outside, hot/cold environment. This is a Safety Sensitive position.
