Summary
This is a full-time, temporary, six-month position with the possibility for extension. The Conflicts Research & Data Entry Specialist will verify existing data, identify and correct inaccuracies, conduct legal research, and update missing or outdated records. Additionally, this role involves tracking real-time changes to party relationships in legal matters to maintain the most current and accurate information in the firm’s system.

Hourly Rate

Physical Requirements
Primarily sedentary work. Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects. Repetitive motion. Substantial movements (motions) of the wrists, hands, and/or fingers. The worker is required to have close visual acuity to perform an activity such as: preparing and analyzing data and figures; transcribing; viewing a computer terminal; extensive reading. Work is performed in an office environment and requires the ability to operate standard office equipment and keyboards. Must have the ability to walk short distances, and/or drive a vehicle to deliver and pick up materials. Work can be performed with or without accommodations.

Duties And Responsibilities
- Review and analyze conflicts database records to verify accuracy, completeness, and compliance with firm policies.
- Conduct legal research to confirm corporate structures, client affiliations, and matter-specific party relationships.
- Identify and correct errors, inconsistencies, and outdated information in the conflicts database.
- Ensure client and matter details align with firm policies and industry best practices.
- Update real-time matter-specific party relationship changes to maintain accurate client and matter associations.
- Prepare summary reports on database findings, including recommendations for improving data integrity.
- Collaborate with attorneys, risk management professionals, and administrative staff to resolve discrepancies and ensure proper documentation.
- Perform additional administrative or research tasks as needed to support the project.
- Strong analytical and research skills with attention to detail.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).
- Experience with legal research tools preferred.
- Ability to identify and resolve discrepancies in legal and corporate data.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills for documenting findings clearly and concisely.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills to handle multiple tasks and meet short- and long-term deadlines.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise sound judgment when handling sensitive information.
- Experience working both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Bachelor’s degree or comparable experience preferred.
- Prior experience in legal research, analysis, compliance, or risk management is a plus.
