Assistant Property Manager & Rental Agent (Queens/Brooklyn/Manhattan)
Full-Time | Remote Field Work | $45,000 Base Commission
We’re a fast-growing NYC-based property management company looking for a dependable, motivated Assistant Property Manager to join our team. You'll take the lead on managing our 1–4 family properties, oversee rentals across the city, and assist with larger multifamily buildings, condos, and co-ops.
This is a remote-first position — ideal for someone who wants to grow into a larger property management role while gaining hands-on experience.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Serve as the main point of contact for tenants and owners of small residential properties (1–4 family homes)
- Coordinate maintenance, repairs, renewals, and turnovers
- Handle apartment rentals: scheduling showings, meeting applicants, lease signing
- Assist the Property Manager for larger multifamily buildings, condos, and co-ops
- Collaborate with our admin team and ownership to ensure smooth operations
- Most travel will be within Queens, Brooklyn, and Manhattan. While we also manage properties in the Bronx, visits there are minimal.
Qualifications
- Experience in real estate and property management
- Organized, responsive, and comfortable managing multiple tasks
- Must have a car and be able to travel to properties
- Tech-comfortable — you’ll be using property management and communication tools
- Reliable, with good judgment and strong people skills
- This position requires a valid NY Real Estate Salesperson license
Compensation
- $45,000 base salary
- 25% commission on all rentals you personally handle
- $75/month car stipend to help with travel costs
- Bonus opportunities for sales and larger projects
- 5 vacation days 5 personal days
- Federal holidays off (most major holidays observed)
Schedule
- Standard hours: Monday–Friday, 9 AM–5 PM
- After-hours or weekend availability for emergencies and urgent issues.
- Occasional after-hours availability for board meetings
- Flexibility is expected for showings and deal-related activity — rentals and sales often happen evenings and weekends
