As a key member of our Tax Team, the Supervisor will utilize their technical skills and educational background and apply expertise on a variety of engagements with clients of the Firm. This critical role in our growing Tax practice includes managing client relationships, performing technical tax work and managing staff. Our department is dedicated to assisting various clients with tax compliance and planning.
Job Responsibilities
- Perform diversified tax services, with a focus on individuals and for-profit entities.
- Prepares personal and corporate tax returns, including the most complex.
- Review less complicated personal and business returns.
- Prepares BNA Income Tax projections and becomes involved in planning for less complex clients.
- Assists accounting and auditing staff members in client meetings.
- Analyzes IRS notices and drafts responses.
- Reviews IRS notice responses prepared by staff tax accountants.
- Delegates work to tax staff accountants and supervises work.
- Participates in tax department administrative projects.
- Acts as director-in-charge for personal tax return clients.
- Acts as key client contact person for smaller engagements.
- Bills clients and discusses fees with smaller clients.
- Establishes good working relationships with all partners and staff members.

Job Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in accounting
- Master’s degree in Taxation or related field preferred
- 4 years of accounting experience prior experience in public accounting
- Currently having; or in the process of qualifying for CPA, or Enrolled Agent (EA)
- Demonstrated ability to communicate verbally and in writing, both internally and externally
- Demonstrated project management skills
- Proficient use of applicable technology
We are looking for a candidate to work full time. Normal hours are Monday through Friday 8:30 am to 5:30 pm with expected overtime during our peak seasons: January through April and sporadically through the rest of the year. These periods require increasing normal weekly hours, which includes weekends.
