Position: Health Coordinator

Location: Waimanalo, HI

Pay: $45/hour

Experience: Experience working with youth is preferred.

Education: Must have a registered nurse license in HI.

Type: Full-time; Contract

Schedule: Monday - Friday, 7:45am to 4:45pm

Kahu Malama Nurses is seeking a Health Coordinator to join a growing and dynamic team!

Job Description:

• Provide nursing care to students in accordance with medical provider orders and within the state-specific scope of practice.
• Supervise staff LPNs to ensure compliance with state regulations and nurse practice acts.
• Manage student health care, including entry requirements, immunizations, illness monitoring, and chronic care management.
• Oversee staff training and provide input on performance evaluations for wellness staff.
• Conduct student health record audits, participate in quality improvement programs, and ensure SOP implementation.
• Assure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations for clinical services, including medication management.
• Assist in managing student injury reporting systems and required health-related reporting.
• Serve as a resource for after-hours medical concerns and assist with community health resource development.
• Provide oversight of wellness center activities and serve as medical co-disability coordinator as needed.
• Support Job Corps programs, including employability initiatives, Career Success Standards, and promoting a zero-tolerance policy.
  
  

Position Requirements:

• Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Computer proficiency is required.
• Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
