Position: Home Nursing Aide

Location: Honolulu, HI

Pay: $43,680/year

Experience:

• One year of experience in a Skilled Nursing Facility or as a Home Health Aide, or successful completion of a 6-month intensive St. Francis Home Health Aide on-the-job program.
• One year of Nurse Aide experience in an acute care setting is preferred.
  
  

Education:

• High School Graduate or equivalent.
• Certificate of completion of a State of Hawaii Certified Nurse’s Aide course (100 hours).
• State of Hawaii Nurse Aide Certification is preferred.
  
  

Type: Full-time; Direct Hire

Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8:00am to 4:30pm

Kahu Malama Nurses is seeking a Home Nursing Aide to join a growing and dynamic team!

Job Description:

• Provide compassionate, hands-on care to clients in a home setting.
• Assist with activities of daily living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, feeding, and mobility.
• Monitor and document patient conditions, reporting any changes to healthcare providers.
• Support clients with basic medical needs under supervision, including medication reminders and vital sign monitoring.
• Maintain a safe and clean environment for clients.
• Transport clients as needed, ensuring safe and timely travel.
• Communicate effectively with clients, families, and healthcare professionals to ensure quality care.
  
  

Position Requirements:

• Valid driver’s license, personal automobile for business use, and a clean driving record (verified by current traffic abstract).
• Current CPR certification (Healthcare Provider level).
• Strong verbal and written communication skills in English.
• Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to remain patient, professional, and composed in all interactions.
• Dexterity in handling medical equipment and instruments.
• Ability to work independently and follow care plans effectively.
