Job Title: Radiographic Technologist
Department: MEDICAL IMAGING
Reports to: Director of Imaging
Status: Full-Time, Non-Exempt, Non-Bargaining
Primary Purpose:
Under the direction of the Radiologist, through the Director of Imaging, this person performs radiographic and CT procedures at a technical level requiring minimal supervision. Performs a variety of technical procedures that will require independent judgment and initiative. Assumes responsibility for assigned shifts. Serves all age groups of patients, including neonates, pediatrics, adolescents, adults and geriatrics.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Performs computed tomography scans using protocols established by interpreting Radiologists.
- Produces diagnostic radiographs on all exams.
- Performs clerical work associated with exams/scans administered.
- Assure proper maintenance and cleanliness of all working equipment and surrounding area.
Physical, Communication, Mental and Environmental Demands:
- Prolonged walking, stooping, kneeling, crouching and crawling.
- Continuous handling, fingering and eye-hand-foot coordination.
- Continuous use of vision (corrected vision, depth perception, wide field of vision and color vision).
- Pushing to 200 lbs., pulling to 100 lbs., lifting to 100 lbs. and carrying to 50 lbs.
- High attention to detail, concentration, alertness and mathematical ability levels needed.
- Ability to communicate (written, verbal, etc.) clearly and effectively.
Job Qualifications/Skills:
- Current State of Hawaii Radiographer license is required.
- Must be ARRT registered.
- Must have working knowledge of portable x-ray machine and C-Arm procedures.
- 3 years experience preferred.
