As a Print Specialist, you will manage complex print production projects, ensuring timely, high-quality outputs while collaborating with government staff, vendors, and stakeholders. Your expertise in printing processes, quality control, and procurement will ensure compliance with Government Publishing Office (GPO) regulations and U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) standards.

Technical & Industry Expertise

- Printing Process Management: Oversee print specifications, procurement, and quality control for outsourced printing.
- GPO Compliance: Familiarity with GPO forms (SF1, 2511, SPA 4044) and Title 44 USC & Joint Committee on Printing (JCP) regulations.
- Quality Assurance: Conduct inspections at pre-press, press sheet, and final production stages to ensure accuracy, compliance, and quality.
- Industry Software: Proficiency in Adobe Acrobat, Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Access, Outlook), and print management databases.
Communication & Collaboration
- Customer Service: Provide technical assistance to customers at different printing stages, ensuring adherence to requirements and best practices.
- Stakeholder Coordination: Collaborate with program offices, managers, and government officials to deliver high-quality printing solutions.
- Problem Solving: Work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment, proactively resolving printing and procurement issues.
Responsibilities
- Print Project Coordination: Process print requests, track job progress, and ensure compliance with federal printing standards.
- Quality Control Inspections: Oversee materials, printing processes, and final product acceptance.
- Production Oversight: Manage printing schedules, cost tracking, and project documentation.
- Vendor & Stakeholder Communication: Liaise with government staff, print vendors, and program offices to provide technical guidance and ensure smooth print production.
- Database & Reporting: Maintain the Print Management Database, update records, and generate performance reports for leadership.
Requirements
- Experience: 5 years in printing production, print procurement, or print quality control (GPO experience preferred).
- Education: High School Diploma or equivalent required
- US citizen, living and working in the US
- Located in the Washington DC area
- Security Clearance: Eligible for a CBP Public Trust clearance (Full Field Background Investigation required).
Work Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM. Flexibility for telework may be possible.
