Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and caring Early Childhood Education Assistant to join our early childhood education team. The ideal candidate will provide support to our instructors and help create a nurturing environment for young children. Duties:
- Assist in the daily care and supervision of children in a preschool or daycare setting, ensuring their physical and emotional well-being.
- Complete lesson planning, implementation, and assessment, providing individualized support to students as needed.
- Help maintain a clean and organized classroom environment, adhering to health and safety protocols.
- Assist with classroom management, including behavior management and redirection techniques.
- Provide one-on-one support to children with special needs, if applicable.
- Participate in first aid, if required.
- Engage in activities that promote socialization, creativity, and learning among children.
- Collaborate with instructors to develop engaging lesson plans that cater to the needs of diverse learners.
- Establish and maintain positive relationships with children, parents, and colleagues.
Qualifications:
- Experience working with young children, preferably in a preschool or daycare setting.
- Strong understanding of early childhood education principles and practices.
- Ability to manage classroom behavior and redirect children as needed.
- Knowledge of basic first aid techniques and babysitting practices.
- Familiarity with caregiving and toddler care best practices.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; Early Childhood Education or related degree preferred.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing situations.
- Physical stamina to support children in various activities and environments.
- A passion for working with children and a commitment to their educational and personal growth.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $11.75 - $14.00 per hour
