The ideal candidate will conduct comprehensive analysis of business requirements, processes, and information systems to support strategic decision-making. This role requires a strong focus on reporting, data modeling, and business process optimization, as well as the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams, including government stakeholders, to ensure the seamless implementation of system improvements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough analysis of business requirements, operational processes, and IT systems to ensure alignment with strategic goals and objectives
- Collaborate with stakeholders to gather business needs, identify inefficiencies, and recommend process and system improvements
- Analyze performance data, usage benefits, and key operational metrics; prepare detailed reports to support leadership decision-making
- Evaluate voucher and count predictions using fielding schedules, adoption rates, and site-level data; deliver forecasting insights to government teams
- Update and maintain business rules in response to newly released functionality; ensure updates are completed within 10 calendar days of production changes
- Perform business process modeling, data modeling, and object modeling to streamline workflows and optimize system functionality
- Provide analytics and respond to user inquiries through the DMDC Reporting System (DRS); offer troubleshooting support to ensure accurate, timely reporting
- Prepare and deliver quarterly DTS Permission Level 8/9 reports; analyze elevated user access and work with project stakeholders to ensure compliance
- Request, review, and analyze privileged user access to DoD Travel Systems on a quarterly basis; identify anomalies and ensure access appropriateness
- Collaborate closely with Project Managers, Product Owners, and Travel Portfolio teams to finalize reports and implement access controls effectively
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Information Systems, or a related field
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience as a Business Analyst or in a similar role
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and provide actionable insights
- Proficiency in business process modeling, data modeling, and business object modeling
- Familiarity with the DMDC Reporting System (DRS) and understanding of DoD Travel Systems is preferred
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex information clearly and concisely
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment, managing multiple priorities effectively
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills and the ability to meet deadlines
- Experience with the Department of Defense (DoD) systems and regulations
- Knowledge of performance metrics, fielding schedules, and user access controls
- Advanced proficiency with reporting tools and systems (e.g., Excel, Tableau, Power BI)
