Teacher Collaborator: Literacy Core Responsibilities:
Develop and facilitate teacher professional development focused on the Big Five reading skills and effective implementation of the EL Curriculum - including all instructional routines outlined in the KairosPDX Curriculum Implementation Guide;
Collaborate with Team Leads (K-2, 3-5) to develop a yearlong scope and sequence of EL module implementation. Review annually and make adjustments as needed;
Plan and Coordinate Literacy Night for families with Team Leads (PK, K-2, 3-5)
Create a learning environment designed to build skill, confidence and a positive cultural and academic identity;
Create and manage a daily small group schedule prioritizing students with highest needs;
Assess for progress, document and maintain student records;
“Push in” to support student needs;
“Pull out” to practice specific skills;
Create and manage a daily small group schedule 3rd-5th grades students with highest needs only;
Utilize data to develop individualized learning targets;
Assess for progress, document and maintain student records;
Support with homeroom teachers to communicate regularly with families (including quarterly family conferences);
Discipline students in a fair and consistent manner, using clear routines and expectations as well as school approved behavior support techniques;
Participate in Student support meetings as needed;
Provide direct student support as needed:
Supervise students during recess and other non-instructional times
Substitute in classroom teacher
Administer attendance and student medication
Coordinate, facilitate and/or support the proctoring of formal school wide assessments including Kindergarten readiness, NWEA and SBAC in collaboration with Data Coach
Support the practice and implementation of skills/strategies presented in school-wide training and/or outside agency presentations/trainings

Salary and Benefits
Salary: Dependent on qualifications, ranging from $52,000- $96,000.
Benefits include: Up to nine weeks of school closure breaks, paid sick/personal leave days, paid holidays, participation in Public Employees Retirement System (PERS), employer contribution for health insurance, professional development opportunities
