Position Summary
We are looking for an analytical and organized Account Manager professional focused on relationship building with strong issue resolution, active listening, and communication skills to join our team as an Account Manager. This role is responsible for revenue and profit growth through existing account retention and partnering with the customer outreach representative team to onboard new customers. This is an individual contributor role that will require team collaboration.
Responsibilities
- Maintain and build relationships with customers in the assigned book of business
- Main point of contact for customer requests, questions, and/or concerns
- Conduct proactive calls to current customers
- Provide customers with quotes
- Take and process detailed customer orders
- Complete monthly proactive customer calls
- Communicate customer needs to internal departments to ensure needs are understood and satisfied.
- Utilize the CRM tool to manage customer orders and provide accurate forecasts
- Partner with the customer outreach team to assist with customer onboarding, including providing quotes
- Achieve monthly, quarterly, and yearly sales targets.
- Attend sales meetings as scheduled and other job responsibilities as assigned by Logistics Leadership.
Qualifications
- 2 years of account management experience (Preferred)
- Knowledge of MS Office software (Excel, Outlook, Word)
- Detailed and organized with a strong work ethic
- Strong problem-solving and issue resolution skills
- Proven track record of consultative, solution-based sales and active listing abilities
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong relationship building and negotiation expertise
- Ability to balance persuasion and professionalism
- Strong team collaboration
- Associate's degree or above in business, supply chain, or logistics (preferred)
- Logistics experience (Preferred)
This is an on-site, full-time position located at our Janesville Terminal. The schedule is Monday to Friday, up to or above 40 hours per week, depending on business need. This is an exempt, salaried position and is eligible for benefits and PTO in accordance with Company policy.
