The Director of Behavioral Health Service Line Operations provides oversight of all Behavioral Health services with accountability for ensuring consistency of service delivery and treatment programs across the Mid-Atlantic region, with a focus on access, quality, service, and affordability. Under the direction of the Regional Director of Behavioral Health and in collaboration with the Associate Medical Director of Behavioral Health, the Director of Behavioral Health Service Line Operations has operational accountability of Mental Health and Chemical Dependency services along the care continuum. The BH Managers across KP Mid-Atlantic report to this position. This position consistently supports compliance and the Principles of Responsibility (Kaiser Permanentes Code of Conduct) by maintaining the privacy and confidentiality of information, protecting the assets of the organization, acting with ethics and integrity, reporting non-compliance, and adhering to the applicable federal, state and local laws and regulations, accreditation and licenser requirements (if applicable), and Kaiser Permanentes policies and procedures. In addition, Regional leaders are accountable for communication, implementation, enforcement, monitoring and oversight of compliance policies and practices in their departments.
Essential Responsibilities:
- Lead a team of managers who are responsible for the daily operation of behavioral health services throughout the region.
- Supervises the Behavioral Health Managers in the KP Mid-Atlantic region. Manages and oversees the BH managers on matter related to staffing scheduled, personnel issues, labor issues, etc. May supervise other BH staff engaged in the delivery of Behavioral Health Services.
Qualifications:
- Minimum seven (7) years of mental/behavioral health experience in a hospital, acute care, or ambulatory care environment.
- Master's degree in psychology, social work, education, advanced practice nurse or PH D Psychologist required.
- This job requires credentials from multiple states. Credentials from the primary work state are required before hire. Additional Credentials from the secondary work state(s) are required post hire.
- Licensed Clinical Social Worker - Certified (Maryland) within 12 months of hire OR Licensed Psychologist (Maryland) within 12 months of hire OR Clinical Professional Counselor License (Maryland) within 12 months of hire
- Independent Clinical Social Worker License (District of Columbia) within 12 months of hire OR Professional Counselor License (District of Columbia) within 12 months of hire OR Psychologist License (District of Columbia) within 12 months of hire
- Professional Counselor License (Virginia) within 12 months of hire OR Clinical Psychologist License (Virginia) within 12 months of hire OR Licensed Clinical Social Worker (Virginia) within 12 months of hire
- National Provider Identifier
- Previous management experience is required.
- Experience analyzing and interpreting data and ability to create reports strongly preferred
- Experience building power point presentations, preparing and giving presentations to senior leadership strongly preferred
- Experience working within an integrated medical system preferred
- Experience collaborating with Psychiatrists preferred
- A broad range of clinical experience is preferred, including but not limited to experience working with child, adolescent, and adult populations with mental health and substance use disorders.
- At least 3 years of management/supervisory experience.
- Experience managing managers
- Training in evidenced-based treatment approaches preferred.
Salary : $157,000 - $199,000
