Job Summary:
Provide technical and patient care support to members and other customers. Sell, fit, dispense, measure and adjust contact lenses and other optical devices in accordance with written prescriptions.
Essential Responsibilities:
- Eyewear selection, sales, and dispensing.
- Contact lens selection, sale, fitting and instruction. Problem solving.
- Rx ordering, check-in of Rxs, Verification, Lab functions such as tinting, edging, repairs, contact lens modification and polishing.
- Fill staff shortage in other areas.
Qualifications:
Basic Qualifications:
Experience
- Minimum three (3) years of relevant experience.
Education
- High School Diploma or General Education Development (GED) required.
License, Certification, Registration
- Dispensing Optician License (Washington) required at hire
- American Board of Opticianry Basic Certification required at hire AND National Contact Lens Examiner - Basic Certification required at hire
Additional Requirements:
- Proficiency in all aspects of opticianary.
- Craftsmanship skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Associates degree OR a minimum of two (2) years experience in a directly related field.
