Job Summary:
Under immediate supervision, assists with patient care activities as assigned and according to established policies, procedures and standards.
Essential Responsibilities:
Patient Care. Answer call lights. Applies or removes dressings, splints or supports. Assists patients with personal hygiene needs. Transports patients to/from designated areas. Physically lifts patients or uses mechanical lifting aids. Prepares and positions patients for procedures. Equipment and Instruments. Adheres to safety and infection control procedures. Assembles/disassembles equipment and instruments. Ensures equipment is available for procedures and examinations. Maintains safe, clean work area. Orders supplies. Performs routine testing on equipment. Reports routine testing on equipment. Reports equipment problems to supervisor. Sets up and organizes exam rooms. Stocks/restocks treatment/procedure rooms. Information and Records. Answers phones and directs calls. Completes patient processing forms (CPRs). Files information in patient charts. Maintains department logs and statistics. Posts treatments given. Administrative and Other. Assumes other activities and responsibilities from time to time as directed. Qualifications:
Basic Qualifications:
Experience
One year experience in both inpatient and outpatient physical therapy setting desired. Ability to support 200 plus pounds as needed. Able to bend and stoop 20% of work day.

- Current CPR certification
License, Certification, Registration
- Basic Life Support
