Department Description : Institute for Health Research
Intern Project(s) : Assist data team in organization of data resources and documentation (including but not limited to project archival and closeout as required by IRB and HIPAA policies), participate in grant preparation data requests, participate in testing of tools for accuracy and efficiency, and gain understanding of research data management and methods.
Target Majors : Computer Science or Data Science or Math / Statistics or Public Health
Target Skills : Critical thinking, self-starter, analytical / communication skills; proficiency in R, Python, SQL, or SAS.
Essential Responsibilities :
- Contributing to a designated project or initiative to meet a KP business objective.
- Report development and analytics.
- Project management - planning, execution, and measurement.
- Learning new applications needed to complete assignments or support the execution of business objectives.
- Job shadowing in other functional areas.
- Performing additional duties as required.
- The union and the company are currently investigating the bargaining unit status of this position. If it is determined that this is a bargaining unit position, bargaining unit status (seniority dates, dues payments etc.) will be applied on a retroactive basis based on the employment commencement date.
