Job Overview
We are looking for an experienced Accounts Payable Specialist with a strong background in the construction industry, with 4 years of experience. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with Sage 300, Timberscan, and GCPay. Experience with Procore is a plus. Duties
- Process vendor invoices and ensure timely payments.
- Perform account reconciliation to maintain accurate financial records.
- Enter data into the accounting system with high accuracy.
- Assist in general ledger reconciliation and month-end closing processes.
- Maintain vendor relationships and respond to inquiries regarding payments.
- Utilize accounting software such as Sage 300, Timberscan, and GCPay for transaction processing.
- Prepare reports related to accounts payable activities as needed.
- Ensure compliance with corporate accounting policies and procedures.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in accounts payable or a similar accounting role.
- Strong skills in account reconciliation and general ledger reconciliation.
- Proficiency in data entry with a focus on accuracy (10 key typing skills preferred).
- Familiarity with accounting software (Sage 300, Timberscan, and GCPay) is a necessity
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with vendors and internal stakeholders.
