Job Summary:
The Registered Dental Hygienist provides comprehensive oral hygiene care for KPDCP members, including prevention, maintenance, therapeutic dental treatment, and restorative services. The RDH educates members on their oral health status, motivating them to achieve and maintain optimum oral health.

The Registered Dental Hygienist provides comprehensive oral hygiene care for KPDCP members, including prevention, maintenance, therapeutic dental treatment, and restorative services. The RDH educates members on their oral health status, motivating them to achieve and maintain optimum oral health.
Essential Responsibilities:
- Direct patient oral hygiene care for program members, including prevention, maintenance, and/or therapeutic dental treatment and restorative services.
- Data collection and documentation of patients' oral health in compliance with policy and procedure.
- Provide oral hygiene instruction and education.
- Maintain a clean work area appropriate to a clinical environment in compliance with environmental health and safety standards.
- Support other office functions during downtime, ensuring a positive work environment.
- Perform other duties as requested.
Education:
- Graduation from an accredited dental hygiene program with a minimum of an associate's degree in applied science.
- Dental Hygienist License (Oregon)
- National Provider Identifier
- Basic Life Support
- Please note: WA Initial and Renewable Limited Licenses are not acceptable.
- Please note: Local anesthesia endorsement is only for the Oregon Dental Hygiene license, and this endorsement is included in the Washington State Dental Hygiene license.
- X-ray equipment - Daily usage.
- Ultrasonic scalers - Daily for deposit removal.
- Handpieces - Daily for polishing teeth and fillings.
- Nitrous oxide permit
- Basic knowledge of sterilization and infection control equipment
- Basic computer skills
- Restorative function endorsement (Oregon Dental Hygiene license only - included in the Washington State Dental Hygiene license)
- Variable days and times.
- Must have availability Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday, and rotational Saturday.
- Travel to North Lancaster, Keizer Station, Valley River locations.
